About Korora Coaching

Find a definition of success that truly fits.

Korora Coaching is a personal coaching practice founded and led by Jon Godden.

Korora exists to help thoughtful, capable people step back from noise and pressure to gain clarity about what success truly means for them, and then move toward it with courage and intention.

Jon brings a rare combination of senior corporate leadership experience and lived perspective shaped by navigating long-term health challenges. That blend creates a coaching space that is grounded, practical, and deeply human.

Kindness and compassion sit at the heart of Korora. Clients are met with understanding, not judgement. But Korora is not about staying comfortable. Real clarity brings decisions, and decisions create movement. Clients should expect honesty, thoughtful challenge, and support that helps them act — not just reflect.

The aim is simple but powerful:

greater peace, clearer direction, and meaningful progress toward a version of success that actually feels right.

Korora believes small shifts, made with clarity, change everything.

Jon's Story

Jon Godden is the founder of Korora Coaching and a former CFO with more than two decades of experience operating at senior levels inside fast-moving commercial organisations. He has worked closely with Boards, led teams through growth and uncertainty, and understands first-hand the pressure and responsibility that comes with leadership and success.

Over time, Jon’s definition of success began to evolve. While his corporate career was rewarding, he found himself increasingly drawn to the deeper questions beneath performance and achievement, questions about meaning, sustainability, and what “enough” really looks like.

Alongside this, living with long-term health challenges gave him a sharpened perspective on time, priorities, resilience, and what truly matters.

Korora Coaching was created at the intersection of those experiences.

What does Korora mean?

Penguins have always meant something to Jon. There’s a simple idea he has carried for years:
“A penguin cannot become a giraffe, so just be the best penguin you can be.”

That idea has stayed with him. Not about limitation, but about clarity — understanding who you are, what matters, and what success really means for you.

After a period of illness in 2016, Jon and his family decided to take time out and travel, including time in New Zealand. They were drawn to its perspective, its calmness, and its connection to nature. It was there he discovered the Korora penguin — small, understated, but quietly resilient.

The name felt right.

Since then, Korora has come to represent something simple but powerful: small, thoughtful actions, grounded in clarity and kindness, can create meaningful change over time.

Like a river, life rarely needs dramatic intervention to change course. Sometimes it takes a moment of space, a subtle shift in direction, and over time, that changes where you arrive.

That belief led to over 1,000 acts of kindness shared across the UK through the Korora brand — a reminder that change doesn’t need to be dramatic to matter.

Korora Coaching is built on the same idea.

Not about becoming something else, but about understanding what matters and moving toward it with clarity, courage, and intention.

What kind of coaching do you offer?

Korora offers one-to-one coaching for thoughtful, capable people who want clarity about what success means for them now — and the confidence to move toward it.

The work is reflective and practical. We explore what matters, what feels misaligned, and what needs to shift — then translate that clarity into meaningful forward movement.
